CHWD Timeworks specializes in the references that are hard to simply go and buy — a clean pre-owned example that never reaches a public listing, or a brand new piece the boutique won't allocate. Tell us the reference and we go and find it. Most are secured within 24 to 72 hours.
Access, Not Allocation
The watches people most want are rarely sitting in a case waiting to be bought. The new ones are allocated before they reach a boutique, and the list you were added to does not move. The good pre-owned examples — clean cases, full sets, the discontinued references — get placed privately between dealers and never reach a public listing at all.
We work that market. A global network of independent distributors, authorized-channel dealers and private collectors trade the same references between themselves, outside the retail system. That's where we buy — and it's how we find both a brand new, unworn piece with box, papers and full warranty without an allocation, and the honest pre-owned example that was never advertised anywhere.
Most of what we sell is pre-owned, and for a lot of references that's simply the better buy — often several thousand dollars less for a watch you would not be able to tell apart. Where brand new is what you want, we get brand new. We'll tell you honestly which one makes more sense for the reference you're after.
How It Works
Six steps, and a seven-day limit on the whole thing.

Tell us the reference
Reference number, dial, bracelet or strap, and whether you want it pre-owned, brand new, or whichever turns out to be the better buy. If you only know the model, that's enough to start.

We confirm within 24 hours
Availability and a firm delivered price — one number, not a range, and not "call for pricing."
3.
A 10% deposit starts the search
Fully refundable. It's what lets us commit to a supplier and hold a piece the moment it surfaces.
4.
We source it
Most references are secured in 24 to 72 hours. Exceptionally rare or high-demand pieces can take up to seven days.
5.
You approve, then settle
We send you the specific example — photographs, serial, scope of delivery, and condition in full. Nothing goes further until you say yes.
6.
It ships
Fully insured overnight, tracked, signature required. Typically on your wrist within a few days of approval.

- Deposit
10% of the agreed price, fully refundable. It is applied to the balance when you take the watch.
- Timeline
Most references secured in 24 to 72 hours. Rare and high-demand pieces, up to 7 calendar days.
- If we can't find it
If we can't secure a watch matching your criteria within 7 calendar days, your deposit is returned in full — no questions asked.
- If you don't like it
You approve the specific example before the balance is due. If it isn't right, you don't take it and the deposit is returned.
- Authenticity
100% guaranteed. Serial, movement and components verified against factory specification before shipping. Refunded in full if ever shown not to be genuine — no time limit.
- Payment
Bank wire or cryptocurrency. Wire instructions and wallet details are provided directly by us. The deposit and the balance are paid the same way.

Pre-owned, properly vetted
Most of what we sell. Clean examples with documented history, full sets, and discontinued references that rarely surface publicly. Condition is disclosed in full before you commit — including wear, and including anything we'd want to know ourselves.
Brand new and unworn
Current-production references, sealed, with original box, papers and full manufacturer warranty where applicable. This is what we're asked for when the boutique won't allocate — and it's the harder half of the job.
Specific configurations
A particular dial, bracelet, or a full set with the sticker still on the caseback. Tell us exactly what you want; the specification is usually the hard part, not the model.

Questions
Why is there a deposit at all?
Because securing a reference means committing to a supplier before you've paid for it. The deposit is what lets us move the moment a piece surfaces instead of asking you first and losing it. It is 10%, fully refundable, and it comes straight back if we don't deliver inside seven days.
What if the price moves while you're looking?
The price we quote is the price you pay. If we can't source it at that number, that's our problem, not yours — the search ends and your deposit is returned.
Should I buy new or pre-owned?
It depends entirely on the reference, and it's worth asking us before you decide. On some references an unworn example costs several thousand more than a clean pre-owned one that's visually identical and carries the same papers. On others — usually where the piece is discontinued or the pre-owned market is thin — new is the sensible buy. Most of what we sell is pre-owned, because most of the time that's the better deal. We'll give you the honest read either way, even when the new one earns us more.
How do I pay?
Bank wire or cryptocurrency — those are the two methods we accept, for the deposit and the balance alike. We send wire instructions or wallet details directly, and we never ask for card details. If you'd prefer an independent watchmaker to inspect the watch before funds move, tell us and we'll arrange it.
Are the watches you source under warranty?
Brand new pieces come with the manufacturer's warranty where the reference and market allow it. Pre-owned pieces carry whatever remains of the original warranty, which we state exactly — never implied, never rounded up. We tell you precisely what's included, including box and papers, before you commit.
Can I put a watch I already own toward it?
Yes. Trades are welcome and usually make the whole thing simpler — one conversation, one number. Tell us what you have in the form above alongside what you're after.
